Performing Arts
Exploring drama and acting in plays is vital to the development of communication skills and enables a growth in confidence within our students.
By participating in a comprehensive drama programme, students develop life skills to assist memory development, problem solving, working in groups, self-directed learning, respect for others and an ability to speak in public forums. The rewards of collaboration are also promoted and realised.
Drama is an art form which is directly concerned with our understanding and experience of the world. CHCCS drama students explore the way people think, feel and communicate, learning to understand others and ourselves more fully. Drama not only teaches students how to perform and get ready for professional performing arts industries, more importantly, how to be effective and creative communicators, and to work as a team towards a common goal.
