What is this subject about?

This subject is the study of Ancient societies, personalities and events. Students will have opportunities to investigate past people, groups, events, institutions, societies and historical sites from the sources available, by applying the methods used by historians and archaeologists.

Subject Topics

In the Preliminary year students will study historical concepts and skills, investigate the nature of Ancient History, the Features of an Ancient Society and undergo an historical investigation of their choice.

It is a fantastic way of looking at human experiences and how the ancient people and cultures affect our modern times, as well as ways in which we can learn from past mistakes and successes.
