Absentees
Parents need contact the school by 9:00am if possible, to give notice of a student's absence.
Junior School

Early Notification SMS System
A text message will be sent to the nominated caregiver (usually Mum) in the event of a student being marked absent.
The response should give a valid reason for the absence.
Each text should be responded to individually
Hand written/types notes
The school still accepts hand written or typed notes as notification of absence. All handwritten notes should have the:
- Student's name and class/year
- Date/s they will be absent for
- Reason for the absence
- Parent/Guardian's signature
Unexplained Absence
If an absence has not been explained by either phone call, reply text, email or note after 7 days. The status of the absence will be changed to "unexplained".
If a student has been absent for 3 days and the school has received no notification of the student's absence, the school will then contact the Parent/Guardian to enquire as to the reason for the absence.
