Homework is a valuable part of schooling. It allows for practising, extending and consolidating work done in class. Homework provides training for students in planning and organising time and develops a range of skills in identifying and using information resources. Additionally, it establishes habits of study, concentration and self-discipline which will serve students for the rest of their lives.
However, Middle School recognises that students lead busy lives! For some this means that finding time to complete homework can be problematic.
For those who need it, Homework Club provides a supervised venue for students to work during lunchtime with access to computers and printers. Teacher support means that questions can be addressed quickly as well as encouragement and direction given, allowing those who have other commitments after school, to complete set tasks and not fall behind.
